Today, I lost a very dear friend to her long battle with cancer - Heather Barrineau Reid - you will be forever missed. HB and I were the best of best friends getting into as much trouble as possible all through middle school and high school. If you saw her, you saw me because we were always together. She went to Colorado for college, I visited, I went to UNC, she visited. Through the years and distance, we always remained close at heart. Just after Baby Mariah was born, Heather found out she was pregnant with her miracle baby - Kylie - after being in remission for some time. Shortly after her pregnancy experience began, the cancer came back and she went through treatments while pregnant. Kylie was born in January, 2008. Heather fought it with all she could, but just couldn't beat it. An amazing friend, wife, mother and daughter is missed beyond words!
